New “Barely Legal” Rye Whiskey Makes Its Debut in Mid-Missouri Wine Country

Lionheart Whiskey Co. officially opened its doors Friday, June 17, 2022 in Hermann, Missouri. Follow winding backroads through Missouri’s wine country to enjoy a guided tasting tour featuring their two debut expressions, a Small Batch Rye Whiskey composed of a carefully selected three barrel blend and a Single Barrel Rye Whiskey hand-picked by a trusted panel for its smooth, oak-forward characteristics.

Tasting tours consist of a guided tour of the 174 year old August Nasse building at the corner of Schiller Street and 3rd Street in the historic district of Hermann and the bottling facility, fondly known as The Carriage House after its original purpose from the early 1900s. Following the short walk, guests are guided through an educational tasting of both whiskey expressions and taught how to make an Old Fashioned cocktail the Lionheart way.

The tasting room doubles as a gift shop with a variety of bar essentials, gifts, glassware, and garnishes any amateur mixologist or whiskey connoisseur would enjoy adding to a home bar. True whiskey enthusiasts can join their journey by purchasing one of their elite Founder’s Friends packages which range from a combination of their single barrel and glassware up to an exclusive experience crafting your own unique small batch whiskey and label.
